Divers Encountered The Mola Mola Fish Which Can Engulf A Human


What if you’re scuba diving in the ocean and suddenly, you see a creature coming towards you out of the blue which you’ve never seen in your entire life.
Last year, the same thing happened with some scuba divers near Wied il-Mielah Window on the north-western coast of the island of Gozo in Malta (Europe). The divers encountered a gigantic Sunfish and then they took pictures and video of the fish.

The divers saw a mola mola fish.

The sunfish or mola fish is the heaviest known bony fish in the world. The fish is commonly found in the tropics and polar regions.

These fishes are of enormous size.

The fish can weigh up to 5000 pounds and grow as much as 14 feet vertically and 10 feet horizontally.

One of the divers posted the video on YouTube.

According to Erik van der Goot, the man who posted the video said that it was a once in a lifetime experience for all the divers.

They were near the fish for about 15 minutes.

Despite seeing the giant fish, the divers spent almost 15 minutes near the mola and took the pictures and the video.

The fish was not deep inside the ocean when they found it.

According to Erik, the fish was nearly 15 meters below the water level.

The population of mola fish is stable.

The population of mola fishes is considered to be stable. The fish looks like it can engulf a whole human, but actually, they are harmless.
